Oh, I’ve not seen you in ages. We should catch up soon.

Hello, I’ve been remarkably busy. Started an internship, finishing my courseload, etc. I’ve decided that I will be translating my blog into Spanish and making this a bilingual forum. About

Hi, I am a computer programmer.  I was laid off almost a year ago.  I have not been able to find a job but have been able to get accepted into multiple graduate schools two years in a row.

This blog has nothing to do with that.

One day my computer crashed and died.  I know these things happen, especially since the laptop was on its last leg. I was expanding my skill set and teaching myself Java.  Nothing against Java, I’ve always been a C# and C++ programmer since high school.

That was just the event that lead up to this.

Noting the amount of freelance iPhone development gigs, I decided to get a Mac and learn how to program for Mac specific technologies.  Also, I thought about the dual boot and the ability to run .Net on a Mac.  You know, just in case a C# .Net guy needed to write an app in Visual Studio.

No, that is an explanation of your previous action.

This blog is about the trials and tribulations of switching to Mac programming, software, and the OS from a POV of a Windows user that is a software developer (main trade) and audio engineer/musician (part time).
